Is the whole league really free?

Yes. Entry to the Fall 2026 flex singles league is $0. No card is required and there is no automatic renewal. Any court, reservation, lighting or guest charges and tennis balls are separate. Use public courts and agree on costs before confirming a match. Tournament fees are separate from this league.

When can I start playing?

The planned season is October 12–November 22, 2026. Register by October 18. Join your city, rating and division immediately; players requesting rating placement wait for an organizer review. There is no minimum roster or maximum number of players. You need another available player to arrange a match. Registration does not guarantee an opponent or reserve a court. Check My league for new players and proposals.

What does a match look like?

Singles, one full set: first to six games by two, with a seven-point tiebreak (win by two) at 6–6. Normal advantage scoring. Play as many different opponents in your division as you like. One match per opponent counts toward this season’s standings; you do not have to play everyone. Agree on court access and bring balls. Match length varies; allow time to warm up and finish. Arrange matches within the season dates.

How do ratings and standings work?

These leagues are intermediate to advanced, starting at 3.0. Choose your current self-reported level: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 or 5.0+. Choose placement if you already play matches but are unsure of your rating. Players new to tennis can join all-level games instead. Open divisions stay at your selected rating. These are Lobby divisions, not official USTA ratings. Divisions are ranked by confirmed wins; equal wins share a position. Pending and disputed scores do not count. Standings and names are visible to members of your division and the organizer. The first season has no playoff or prize commitment.

What about rain, cancellations or an unresponsive opponent?

Reply to proposals within 48 hours, even if you need a different time. Use My league to suggest another time or decline a proposal. If a confirmed match needs to move, tell your opponent and propose a new time. Weather is a reason to reschedule, not an automatic loss. For a no-show, injury, unresolved score or persistent non-response, contact the organizer through Get in touch; do not invent a score. You can withdraw in My league. Previously confirmed results remain; remaining matches are removed from the schedule.

Can I still play tournaments or another league?

Yes. This league is an additional way to get matches. Tournament registration stays separate, and tournament results do not count toward these standings. Join one Lobby fall division so your weekly commitment stays manageable. This season is for adults 18+.
