Community guidelines

They work together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If something here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control. See also the Safety tips.

1. Respect

• Treat other players with basic courtesy on the board and at the court.
• No insults, bullying, hate speech, or demeaning comments about race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or similar.
• Competitive play is fine. Toxicity is not.

2. No harassment

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

• Unwanted sexual advances, comments, or messages
• Threats, stalking, or repeated contact after someone asks you to stop
• Sharing someone else’s personal contact info without permission
• Pressuring someone to meet privately, leave the park, or play when they are uncomfortable

If you feel harassed, leave the situation if you can, call 911 if you are in danger, and report to us (see section 7).

3. Accurate profiles and photos

• Use your real first name or a clear display name. No impersonation.
• Represent your skill level honestly enough that partners can plan a fair hit.
• Profile photos are optional. If you upload one:

• Prefer a photo of you
• Only upload images you have the right to use
• Do not upload photos of other people without permission
• Do not upload photos of minors, nudity, or sexual content

Do not create fake seats, fake matches, or stolen photos to game the board.

4. Show up, or communicate

Claiming a seat is a coordination tool, not a ticket, but no-shows waste other people’s time.

• If you claim a seat, plan to show up, or cancel or message as early as you can.
• Weather, injury, and real life happen. Do not disappear when you can avoid it.
• Repeated no-shows without communication may lead to removal from the board or a ban.

5. Park rules and local law

• Follow park rules and local law (hours, reservations, noise, alcohol, trash, sharing courts).
• Lobby Tennis is not a court-booking system and is not affiliated with city or county park departments unless we announce a real partnership. None exists at soft launch.
• Do not use the product to organize anything illegal or unsafe at a park.

6. What Lobby Tennis is not for

Do not use Lobby Tennis to:

• Sell unrelated products or spam other players’ emails
• Scrape profiles for marketing lists
• Recruit for activities unrelated to adult recreational tennis without clear, honest context
• Bypass these guidelines with alternate accounts after a ban

Service-interest forms (stringing, ball machine, lessons) are requests for information only until paid terms exist. Do not treat them as confirmed bookings.

7. Reporting problems

Email hello@lobbytennis.com to report:

• Harassment or unsafe behavior
• Fake profiles, stolen photos, or spam
• Repeated no-shows that hurt the community
• Content that violates these guidelines

Include links, screenshots, or match details when you can. Soft-launch review is manual. We will try to respond within a reasonable time. For immediate danger, call 911. We cannot provide emergency response.

8. What we can do

We may, at our discretion:

• Remove posts, photos, claims, or profiles
• Warn, suspend, or ban access
• Refuse waitlist or service-interest follow-up

We may also act on reports that create risk for others even if they are not a perfect fit for a bullet above. Enforcement follows the Terms.

9. Adults only

Meetup and match features are for people who are 18 or older. Do not help under-18 users join the stranger match board. See the Terms and Privacy Policy for age and children’s privacy statements.
