Good games start with a little notice

Plans change. Let the group know.

Can’t make it? Cancel in My Tennis as soon as you know. You can cancel any time before the game starts. There is no cancellation fee for Lobby’s free community games.

  1. Sign in and find the game under Your games.
  2. Choose Cancel my place, or Withdraw request if you aren’t confirmed.
  3. Read the notice, optionally choose a reason and confirm. Your cancellation is saved to your account.

Give 24 hours when you can.

Cancelling a confirmed place less than 24 hours before the start is recorded as late. We still want you to cancel, so someone else can take the spot. Withdrawing a pending or waitlisted request does not count as late.

Real life happens.

Weather, a crowded or closed court, illness and emergencies deserve context. Choose a reason when cancelling or get in touch. No medical details are needed. Lobby can excuse the record after review.

No-shows and repeat problems.

An organizer records attendance after the game. A no-show means a confirmed player did not attend and did not cancel. Three late cancellations or two recorded no-shows across different games within 90 days flag the history for Lobby to review and follow up. There are no automatic fines or bans. Attendance records do not change your playing level or win/loss stats.

Think a record is wrong? Ask Lobby to review it. These records are private and do not appear on public player profiles.

If the game has already started

Contact Lobby through Get in touch so we can review the situation. Confirming a player spot never reserves a public court. If the court is unavailable, agree on a nearby backup before moving.
